Commonwealth Youth Games Work On Track : Suresh Kalmadi

Expressing satisfaction at the progress of development works in the city for the Commonwealth Youth Games, city Congress MP Suresh Kalmadi said all political parties are working unitedly in the interest of the city. Responding to a question by TOI whether he was satisfied with the progress, Kalmadi said it has been a tradition in Pune that for all important occasions in the city, all political parties come together.
Without mentioning the name of mayor Rajlaxmi Bhosale, Kalmadi said that she was taking the lead in ensuring that the development works are completed in time. Incidentally, state chief secretary Johny Joseph will be visiting the city on Friday to inspect the progress of CYG-related works. Kalmadi's statements however were in stark contrast to his observations at the beginning of the press meet when he had mocked at the `Pune pattern' and charged that there was corruption and irregularities at the PMC.
