Section Investment Pune Posted on Wed Jan 10, 2007 at 09:31:41 PM EST
Standard Chartered Private Equity (SCPE) is close to investing about $40 million in Pune-based auto component manufacturer Endurance Systems (India), reports The Economic Times. KPMG advises Endurance on the deal. The company is planning an IPO, so this is a pre-IPO placement by SCPE.
Endurance Systems manufactures shock absorbers, front forks and clutch assemblies at its production unit in Aurangabad, and currently supplies its entire production output to auto major Bajaj Auto. It plans to diversify its customer base.
