Concern regarding authenticity of particpants age

Dear Mr Kalmadi,
I am Mrs Indira Jayaraman, age - 50, wife of Lt. Col. V. Jayaraman. I participated in the Pune International marathon 26th Nov '06 in the 3km run in the 'Women's Veteran' category, and stood second. Firstly I would like to congratulate you on your splendid efforts in making the Pune marathon an event of such repute. The noble cause of 'Aids Awareness' was also a huge motivation in making women such as I come forward and run the race.
I write this story to voice the concern other particpants and I share over the so-called winner - Mrs Sangeeta Khandagale's, (age - 48) participation in the 'Veteran's/Senior Citizen's category', as it is clearly stated to be only for those 50 years of age or more.
I am a mother of 3, have just turned 50, and was dissapointed to find myself coming second to an accomplished runner unlawfully competing with women senior to her. The lady who came third was 60 years old, and people like her deserve real praise. It is disheartening to see talent like Mrs Khandagale resorting to such unfair means to grab the media spotlight. I request you to look into the manner and ensure that the winners are announced again after confirming the particpant's eligiblilty.
