Remember the Pune Mayor visiting Bremen some months ago and coming back with the idea of a tram service along Pune-Mumbai road? Well, things have moved in that direction. The Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporations will call a meeting soon of industrialists to involve them in the project. A decision was taken during a seminar on eco-housing, jointly organised by the PMC and Rotary Club of Pune Riverside. Both municipal commissioners, Nitin Kareer and Dilip Band and other civic officials were present.

Stephen Boltz, representative of Freie Hansestadt, an organisation in Bremen has assured full cooperation. He was present at the meeting.
