eInfochips To Set Up Centre At Pune, To Hire 60

Ahmedabad-based ASIC design services provider eInfochips is setting up a new design centre at Pune with an investment of $1.5 million. eInfochips would also execute two major design centre outsourcing projects for ASIC and embedded US customers from the centre, it said, adding the company plans to ramp upto a team strength to about 60 engineers in the first year of operations. The centre would be operational by October 2004.

The centre would focus on ASIC and embedded solutions in the area of storage area networking (SAN), wireless communications and consumer multimedia applications, the company said in a release.
